Though the Kansas City Chiefs may have won the Super Bowl, their celebratory parade ended up taking the L after an apparent shooting left several injured.
The shooting took place near the midwestern city’s Union Station towards the end of the parade, an ordeal that left several running for their lives. While the number and condition of the victims remains unknown, two armed men have been detained in connection with the shooting, per ABC News.

4:06 p.m. Update: Roughly 10 people were injured in the shooting, five of which are being treated at Kansas City's Truman Medical Center, according to CNN.
Shots were fired west of Union Station near the garage and multiple people were struck. We took two armed people into custody for more investigation.

“At the conclusion of the rally there were shots fired west of Union Station near the garage and several people were struck,” Kansas City Police Capt. Jake Becchina said of the incident.
As of 30 minutes ago, local authorities advised football fans to evacuate the premises in order to help those injured receive swift medical care.
“Anyone nearby needs to leave the area as quickly and safely as possible to facilitate treatment of the shooting victims,” said police. “Please avoid the Union Station parking garage area to allow first responders through.”

4:19 update: One of the shooting’s 10 victims has died, with three others in critical condition, ABC News reported.
As more details roll in about the incident, several Kansas Chiefs players have taken to social media to offer condolences to their fans.
“Please join me in prayer for all the victims in this heinous act,” linebacker Drue Tranquill wrote in an emotional Twitter post. “Pray that doctors & first responders would have steady hands & that all would experience full healing.”
